The archive and the AI are separate decisions.
Receiving mail does not silently turn on model processing. Your permanent archive is encrypted to the inbox owner’s key. If you enable trusted processing, bounded plaintext can be sent to the deployment-configured OpenAI model. Temporary copies may remain for bounded retry; cleanup eligibility is not a deletion deadline. Receiving and sending still process plaintext when AI is off.
